Discovering // An Orlando Women’s Event

My favorite Orlando women’s event is coming soon and I’m beyond excited!

It is so important to get yourself in the room. I would say it is a great cure for Imposter Syndrome. Being in the room with women who are succeeding and hearing their stories helps women see that they can do it too! You only get the opportunity to openly network at your peer level and above a few times a year in Orlando. Attending business conferences, chamber events, and other business social events is a vital investment in yourself.

The Orlando Women’s Conference | An Orlando Women’s Event for Women Who Need Confirmation

The Orlando Women’s Conference is in its 11th year and it only gets better and better.

This all-day event will require lots of energy and comfortable shoes!

This year there is a venue change, which promises to amplify the excitement. The beautiful Dr. Philips Center is the perfect place to host the dynamic women of Orlando at this annual day of empowerment.

I have been going to this amazing Orlando women’s event for at least half of those years and you should too! Let me tell you why…

This event is a great way to learn who’s who in Orlando among female leaders. They are all dynamic speakers that are each on top of their respective industries.  Best of all, they are each intent on giving back and passing on knowledge and wisdom they have gained from their perspective. This is where I first met and fell in love with now Representative Anna Eskamani who passionately spoke about advocating and running for office, and then listened to her own advice!!

Great Programming

It always opens with an exhilarating keynote, this year will be no exception. One of my favorite parts of this Orlando women’s event is the fashion section, partnering a local stylist with stores highlighting The Mall at Millenia. The team at Orange Appeal always put on an extremely organized and well-crafted women’s conference. It is (annoyingly) punctual and fast-paced. I always want it to slow down! Before you know it, it’s over!

Great Networking

I have always gone alone, and one perk of that is not knowing who you will be sat with! This alone forces you to network and at least exchange business cards with the 6-8 other women seated with you. However, I do attempt to strike up a conversation with someone I don’t know during the breaks. You never know!! I’ve made some especially great connections (and found some great products) with the vendors in the exhibitor area.

So I hope you have made some networking connections to make this event last! Most importantly, I always find confirmation that I am doing the right things to get where I am trying to go at this annual women’s event.

Here are some other Orlando women’s events that are definitely worth your time and money!

I am Brave | An Orlando Women’s Event for Women Who Need Inspiration

This one comes with a quick boxed lunch and usually coffee or snacks.

This event is something you could do over a long lunch from work. It features aspirational stories from local women. It is a wonderful time of connection, empowerment, and inspiration.

If you believe in the power of testimony definitely sign up for this one.

This has historically been held at Full Sail which has amazing facilities for live shows.

Women United Luncheon | An Orlando Women’s Event for Women Who Need Connection

This United Way fundraiser is a good cause and a good conversation.

It can be done over a long lunch break. The menu is usually what you would expect from a typical catered hotel luncheon.

Satisfying lunch!

There is usually a keynote speaker that leaves a great impression on your heart.

This impression is meant to open your wallet in support of their mission to help ALICE. You should do so if you are so inclined. But also, just being there supports their mission!

NAWBO Pitch Competition | An Orlando Women’s Event for Women Who Need Motivation

Got an idea you want to pitch? Or a company that could use a boost to the next level? This annual event is good for either! It’s also good for anyone who is working toward these goals. I love watching the women present and critique what works and what doesn’t. It has been helpful to know what questions to prepare for and how to best convey a message. This one comes with a quick boxed lunch and usually coffee or snacks. NAWBO is the National Association of Women Business Owners and is a terrific organization for women in any stage of entrepreneurship.

More than just entertainment, these Orlando women’s events are vital to get your face and your mission into the world! So what are you waiting for?

Which one of these events best suits your goals right now?
