My favorite Orlando women’s event is coming soon and I’m beyond excited!

It is so important to get yourself in the room. I would say it is a great cure for Imposter Syndrome. Being in the room with women who are succeeding and hearing their stories helps women see that they can do it too! You only get the opportunity to openly network at your peer level and above a few times a year in Orlando. Discovering // Black History in Orlando

My journey of Black History in Orlando began for two reasons. First I needed a DIY Mom Camp week for this summer. Second, I am admittedly a bit obsessed with Bessie Coleman.

She has been one of my favorite Black History figures for many years. So to find that she has a Central Florida connection blew my mind!

As I dug into local history, I realized there are more than enough stops to make this lesson a journey! I’m so excited to share it with you.

Discovering // Scheduling Self-Care

We keep hearing all about the importance of scheduling self-care, and in the meantime, time is flying!

That’s about the oldest lady thing one could say!! 

The thing about time flying is that if you don’t use it wisely and capture it, it’s gone. And all of a sudden it’s been months since you’ve had coffee with that friend, and you can’t remember the last time you used that facial mask you love.

Well, here we are in the 6th month of the 21st year in the 21st century.

And how befitting that June marks the halfway point through the year, reminding us of the last “J” month and all of its resolutions.

How are they doing?

Well, this is a great time to regroup and refocus.
